Five lessons: My journey with Christ…
Currently listening to Mario Ese | Nani Gi (Only You)
I was having a discussion with my doll – Adebola – about my blog and she said that it will be nice if I shared some of the experiences I have encountered with Christ on my blog; I thought about our discussion and decided to give it a try.
As a young Christian who is currently in the phase of ”possessing my possession”, this post will be on five lessons I have learnt through my journey with Christ. There are more lessons that I have learnt, but these five popped up first:
*Having faith is never enough: Currently, I am in love with my Bible app – you can add me on there: Oreoluwa A – simply because I now realise how easy it is to use, its really blessed plans and how interesting it is to have discussions with other Christians online. Without faith, it is impossible to please God; during one of my quiet time I read James 2 v 14 – 26; this Bible chapter made me realise that faith is never enough as a Christain, faith has to be added with good deeds to be effective. We are justified by our deeds and not by faith alone
*Never underestimate the power of praying: The General Overseer of Mountain of Fire & Miracles Ministries, Dr Olukoya, said that everything we do in the house of the Lord the devil can do. The only thing that the devil can not do is to PRAY. Over the years I have learnt to pray in whatever situation I find myself in, be it good and bad and I have never regretted it because God comes through always. 1 Thessalonians 5 v 17 message is brief…pray without ceasing.
*Making errors doesn’t make me less of a Christain: The Bible makes us understand in Mattew 26 v 41 that our spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. Nevertheless, we should continue to watch and pray to fight temptations. God is ever merciful and He will forgive us of our sins; let’s shame the devil and overcome our sinful ways through the strength of God.
*Don’t worry about anything: Worrying is human nature, no doubt about that. A few days ago a friend asked me what I do when I am worried about something and my reply was: ”I worry more.” As much as I try not to worry about situations that I can’t control, I try to remember Mattew 11 v 28 where Christ assured His children that whenever we are burdened we should come to Him and He will give us rest. Philippians 4 v 6 is another good verse, it reads: Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all he has done.
*You have to guide your salvation with Jealousy: This is vital for us Christians. We are in the last days where people mock the truth and follow their own desires – 2 Peter 3 v 3 -, however, we are advised in Philippians 2 v 12 to guide our salvation with jealousy simply because it can be lost; let’s remember always that this earth is our tempory home and Heaven is our permanent home. May we not miss Heaven in Jesus name.

Blessings to you all.
