On Personal Style: Heels Versus Flats…
This post was meant to be a ”poll post”, but I wasn’t able to figure out what poll plugin to use, and due to this I gave up on the idea. Ugh! Can you relate to this? It can be frustrating trying to figure something out and you don’t succeed in figuring it out.
Anyway, we are here to talk about shoes! shoes!! shoes!!!
It will be interesting to know that I grew up hating heels because they seemed like so much work so I opted for flat shoes – mostly sandals – and for someone who is short, it shocked so many of friends why I hated heels.
Back then, if I had a wedding or an event to attend and I had to wear heels, I would practice with the shoe for days because I had this unexplainable fear of falling while walking.
“Women need food, water, and compliments
That’s right. And an occasional pair of shoes.”
― Chris Rock
However, after I graduated from Bowen University Iwo I saw my sense of style improving, and I was buying more heels. See why I am pro growth? It is a humbling process if you embrace it wholeheartedly.
Regardless of this, I still love my flats. I only wear heels whenever I feel like, and if I am given an opportunity to I will wear heels for every occasion! Haha.
Sometimes comfort doesn’t matter. When a shoe is freakin’ fabulous, it may be worth a subsequent day of misery. Soak in Epsom salts and take comfort in the fact that you’re better than everyone else.
