Childhood Lessons From Favourite Animated Movies…
To my childhood
Thank you for making me who I am today
Because of this I am strong, driven and focused
Thank you for the bad memory
Because of this I can’t remember the horrible things said or done to me
Thank you for the awesome animated movies
Because of this I can blog about them today
Thank you for making me understand and believe that things will eventually get better
To my childhood
Even though I can’t vividly remember you
I am glad that I experienced you fully
I am glad that you left some precious memories for me to never forget
I am glad that I embraced you with all my body and soul
I am glad that I was never at any point was in a hurry to grow up
Because I was certain that there is time for everything under the sun
Look at me now, my childhood, adulthood is stressing me out!
Here are my five favourite animated movies growing up and what they taught me:
1| Beauty and The Beast (1991)
– Judging a book by its cover is a bad thing.
-You have to keep forgiving the people who wrong you over and over again.
-Treat the people who aren’t in your well because a millionaire today can be a poor man tomorrow.
2| Mulan (1998)
-Be brave. Be bold.
-Family comes right after God.
-It is okay to go an extra mile for the people you love.
3| Lion King (1994)
-You are powerful in your own way.
-Envy is a parasite that will eat you up slowly and surely.
-Whatever that is under your care should be cared for wholeheartedly.
4| Pocahotas (1995)
-It doesn’t matter if you live in a small box, explore it regardless.
-There are some friends in your life that will turn to family.
-Love doesn’t care about race or religion.
5| Casper (1995)
For Casper, I can’t remember what I learnt, all I know is that I really enjoyed watching it growing up.
Thank you for reading, guys!
