Question #1: Are you ashamed of your religion?…

Despite everything, I still don’t believe that there was a period in my life (around 1999, 2000) when I was ashamed of sharing the gospel; I hated going for evangelism with my mum and house fellowship members; I hated carrying the Bible while walking on the streets. I was young and I refused to fully immerse myself with the punishment(s) that comes with denying Christ on earth.
However, I have been consoled with 1 Corinthians 13:11 which reads: ‘when I was a Child, I talked like a Child, I thought like a Child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I set aside childish ways’. Hallelujah! Don’t we bless the name of the Lord daily for physical, mental and spiritual growth? Growth is indeed a good thing.
Back to my question… are you ashamed of your religion? As a Christain, let me share, with my fellow sisters and brothers in Christ, what the Bible reads will happen to you if you are ashamed of the gospel or you deny Christ on earth…
If anyone is ashamed of Me and My words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when He comes in His glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.
But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father in heaven.
For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when He comes in His Father’s glory with the holy angels.
As believers, we MUST not be ashamed of Christ; we MUST not be ashamed of the word of God. The word of God is life and we should never forget that. Many individuals who claim to be Christians are denying Christ every day – with their words, actions and thoughts – this is not right.
Let’s not forget what Matthew 5:13 -14 reads:
‘You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its savour, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.’
We are the light of the world, let’s share the goodness of our Lord, Jesus Christ, in our lives with the rest of world.
Have a blessed week, guys!
